Every Easter weekend we usually take our first camping trip to Kiptopeke State Park in Virginia. Well, this year they were closed for maintenance. So off we went to Assateague Island and what a beautiful weekend it was. We had a nice camp site right next to this pond ( a result of the heavy rains this spring) and it was great for watching wildlife - ponies, sika deer, ducks and the songs of froggies. Nice. We did have some cold fog that rolled in Saturday but it gave us some quality reading time. When the sun did shine we enjoyed hiking on the beach. The shell circle was not something we created but we did admire it. A really nice weekend.
