One thing I do love about winter in Maryland, beautiful sunsets and sunrises. In the woods, with our multitude of windows it is dramatic and makes up for feeling a bit cooped up. It is slightly warmer today but still bone chilling to say the least.I have been spending a lot of time lately in the chat rooms for Metastatic Breast Cancer and feeling more and more like there has to be a revolution. People with MBC are living many years and some with a lot of pain and difficult meds. There is a lot of research for breast cancer but most of it is for early stage breast cancer. Musa Mayer, author, is one of our best advocates and it seems there are some things being done but there has to be more, we want to live! Well, nuf said for now - just had to get that off my chest (LOL - chest, did I say that?)
I am finally settling into routines after the wonderful Florida trip and the Holidays. Swimming 3 times a week and Pilates with Janet on Saturday. I have even added Qigong for quieter times. Juicing is going well and I want to try some new veggie smoothies. The energy boost from this is incredible. We are definitely eating better but still have room for improvement. Wellness is a big focus.
