In recent years we have been fortunate to be invited to the Sleepers for Thanksgiving. In 1994 Alan and Carol invited us to their house in Trappe and Alan baked a turkey from Gourmet Magazine that year, in fact it was the cover shot. Every year since then Alan has baked this same wonderful turkey recipe and here is the 2008 version!It was very nice and so good to see so many of our friends in the area who get together for the occasion.
Today my stomach is recovering from being overstuffed - a bit of ginger tea and some toast does wonders. Wonderful also to have this 4-day break. All is well it seems in the land of Trappe.
