This lovely little island is located in front of the house. It has been full of weeds for some time now. Finally it was driving me crazy so I pulled on the waders and with Richard's help we pulled out 3 bushels of weeds. Underneath it all was the liriope you see which hopefully will bloom now that it can see the sun! After that we were totally inspired to pull 3 more bushels of weeds out of our bog garden in the back. Even the cattails were feeling choked. The best news about this is I did it and I was not tired after, actually felt energized. I think the lesson here is to keep moving. My body is a bit stiff from radiation and resting so now is the time to move! Weed out the demons!

Weed Island
