Milestones

Today, I drove the bus, only about fifty feet, but I did drive it. It has push button gears just like the pink Rambler that Richard had for a while in college. But of course it's much nicer. I really liked the adjustable gas pedal but I do need to practice with the air brake. It's quite a feeling to drive something that huge.

I visited my Doctor at Hopkins yesterday and she was really happy with my progress. I still have a bit of discomfort at night so I still take meds for that, but really, no big deal. Also I had very little reaction to the Zometa this time. Funny thing -- I have a late reaction to the radiation that just popped up on the back of my leg. Very red and itchy and this is four weeks later. Radiation is quite a mystery. The raw bits on my back have calmed down and now this one pops out. However in the big picture it is nothing. I feel good and have good energy. Not quite back to normal but doing my own laundry and exercising regularly.
