A day in the [commuting] life

So here goes - this is what our trip to Baltimore is like every day (yes! every day!) And all this for a few minutes of rads. Well, good rads that are saving my life and making me feel better. So it is all worthwhile.

First we head for the Bay Bridge, that takes about 45 minutes. Next is the Severn Bridge at Annapolis



Getting close to Baltimore, old roads, old bridges



heading into the downtown area, traffic is light today, not too many trucks



Then you scooch off on MLK Blvd. by Oriole park



Go by University of Maryland where there is a very cool old building with gargoyles



Take a right on Mulberry St. and head past Mercy Hospital



Hopkins is in site. You can always tell by the mega construction going on (all Whiting Turner by the way). They are working on a new children's hospital and a new eye surgery center.



Turn into the Kimmel Cancer Center -- I think of it fondly as Wonkaville because of the incredibly happy interior colors that make it look like the chocolate factory. The umbrellas are the hot dog vendor.



The smokers outside the Cancer Center. They sit on a bench that is dedicated to smokers from a guy named "JR." The amazing thing are the people still hooked up to IVs, puffing away.



Richard likes to talk to the parking garage machine. They are very polite to each other.



And so on into the rads area. I will show that in a future blog...then back across the bridge to get ready for the next day!!



So that's a day in the commute. I had about a hundred more shots but I think you get the gist of it.
