Well yum, every morning I wake up and I have a Bloody Mary! Well, not exactly, One friend of mine calls them a "bloody shame" because they have no vodka.
Here is the recipe:
1/2 glass of Knudsen's Very Veggie juice
1/2 glass of Pedialyte
Stir
Add fresh ground Trader Joe's Lemon Pepper and a stalk of celery,
Nice to add some fresh cherry tomatoes too if you find some good ones!
I would recommend this to anyone experiencing chemo. It really perks you right up and I often have another in the afternoon.
I really need to credit my GP, Dr. Carolyn Helmly, for this one. I told her I had been dragging since last summer and when I did try to exercise, I felt nauseous. Bingo, she said "you need electrolytes, and use Pedialyte. It is not just for kids and is an excellent source.
Well, luckily, they make an unflavored Pedialyte and It makes terrific cocktails. I have tried it with cranberry juice too. So if you are ever sick or dehydrated try my cocktails, fun to drink and they pep you right up!
