My Mom

I have the greatest Mom and I think anyone who has met her will agree. I actually started this blog because I wanted her to know that I am all right and that I lead a normal life in spite of my diagnosis. As if my life has ever been normal, but that is another story. Charlotte Lamm Whitney Stevens is now 86 years young and I am always able to remember her age by adding 25 to mine. She is an accomplished painter and you can view her latest paintings on her web site. She is always the best because she is caring and never fails to call me every week to see how I am doing even though I probably tell her the same boring thing every week but she is always interested. I guess she is a super Mom. She keeps in shape, eats right, paints most days and keeps up with friends. Sometime ago she married her good friend, Art Stevens and they have had a good time together in their golden years. Both of them are blessed with good health and make the most of their lives. The best part of that marriage is being able to share my Mom with others - Peg, Doug, Greg and Jim Stevens along with their spouses, kids, cousins and friends. I also feel blessed that Art has come into our lives. And so on this Mother's Day, I thank my lucky stars that I have such an extraordinary Mom.
