Here we are at Sebastian Inlet State Park in Florida. There is a huge variety of shore birds here and they are fun to watch. Of course the plethora of fishermen cleaning fish attracts them like crazy and they are quite unafraid of humans. Even the dogs don't bother them too much, unless they bark or get too close. The wood storks are everywhere stalking around like gaunt old men pretending not to see you. They are graceful flyers though and have quite the wingspread. This is the time to relax and it is doing wonders for my health. I am also taking time to learn a lot of new tech stuff that my brain could not quite handle in the past months. My profession is always challenging, always competitive but it is what I know and do best.
Richard is spending time making improvements on the jeep. It needs a new spark plug so on Monday he is bringing it in to the local garage, then we will do some exploring.
The only downside of the trip so far are the no-see-ems. In Scotland they call them midges. If it gets hot and humid they invade but thank goodness for a few cool windy days. They have retreated so the days are pure bliss.
