Merry Merry

It has been a merry weekend and we have decked the halls with frogs and holly. My frog ornament collection has grown over the years and I still enjoy seeing them every year. Most are gifts from friends, some even dating back to my college years. The frog in the photo was given to me by Cindy Reed some years ago. It is one of my favorites.

I am finally starting to get over the cold that started Thanksgiving but I am struggling with the dregs of radiation as well. My energy comes in bursts and then I find I am completely fatigued again and will sleep for hours. I am still not back to my swimming although I did get in a few sessions before this cold hit me.

Last week I was very sad at the passing of a friend I met online, Sheila Miller Wisdahl of St. Petersburg, Florida. She was only 31. She always had good advice for me and she had a really good sense of humor. Sheila, like me was a graphic designer and she had Metastatic Breast Cancer. It has been a great thing to meet other people with my disease online because we can share so much but it is terribly hard to lose them. I wish the best for her devoted husband Nathan who was a great comfort to her.
