Jumping for Joy

This past Monday I did my final scans at Johns Hopkins and today I met with Dr. Emens to review the results. The CA markers are both stable and my bone scan, body CT and echo cardiogram are all good or stable. This means a huge drug break until January and that makes me VERY happy. Plus it worked! I wonder for how long but I think I can hope for 5 years. Also I will be getting a booster later in January.

We just got back from Michigan and had a nice trip. I am still feeling side effects but hopefully all that will go away. My gastrointestinal system is a bit haywire and I have a lot of headaches but energy is slowing coming back and my brain is functioning better, at least I hope so! Lake Superior was beautiful even with all the blustery weather. The clouds are ever changing and amazing. Seeing old friends in Traverse City and Olivet was wonderful too. Everyone is getting older and there are hip operations, TIAs, cancer and what have you but overall they are happy.

So on I go and who knows where this turn in the labyrinth will take me but I am inclined to think it is a good place.

Where's the like button?? I don't think you should give yourself a time limit of 5 years. Aim for 20.

Well, I guess I was referring to the vaccine, not me. I just want avoid harsh chemos. I never grew out of the notion that I am going to live forever.
